Tell us a little bit about yourself

Bradley Webster - Herd Senior SEO Lead

My name is Bradley and I joined Herd back in October 2023 as a Senior SEO Lead. I’ve been in the industry now coming up to 7 years in which time I’ve worked on brands, big, small and in nearly every industry imaginable. I started my journey with an apprenticeship in digital marketing, where I fell in love with everything SEO, and haven’t looked back since.

Outside of work, I’m a simple creature. I play video games, mainly single player RPGs and indie platformers. I like reading and art, although admittedly don’t get in as much as I’d like. I also just bought my first pair of walking boots, so if you catch me hiking in the peak district, red faced and panting for breath, yes that’s me.

What have you been up to so far?

I think the easier question is what haven’t I been up to? From migrations and standardising internal linking logic for [redacted], to speaking on-stage at a conference about imposter syndrome in marketing. It’s been a blast.

Not to mention, getting to know everyone at Herd – they made me feel at home from day one.

What have you learned about the world of marketing that you didn’t know before starting?

The ins and outs of Shopify, it’s a platform I’ve had little experience with in the past. But with Herd being a Shopify Plus partner, I’ve learnt from the best about how Shopify sites are built and maintained.

What are you hoping to achieve in the next six months?

My aspiration will always be to learn and grow, adapt to the task at hand. Help more brands grow their online presence, speak at more events (TBC) and build great relationships with clients.

Quickfire round

Who would be a dream client to work with?

Easy, no competition, Pokémon. The opportunity to work on a brand I know like the back of my hand would be surreal, not to mention I already have tonnes of ideas.

If I had to choose a second, HMV would be another dream client because of the breadth of their product ranges, Funko Pops, video games, clothing. What’s not to love?

What is your favourite piece of stationery?

My desk mat I have at home, it’s from the first town of the first Pokémon game I played.

Tea or coffee?

100% coffee.

Favourite marketing tool?

Screaming Frog and Excel, both are extremely versatile and can tackle pretty much anything.

Favourite podcast series?

I flit between two. Toni and Ryan, two friends from down under who talk about anything and everything. And Rotten Mango, a true crime podcast with stories from around the world.
